Area description

Binton is located four miles from Stratford-upon-Avon and is situated on the edge of the Cotswolds. Binton is a pretty village with many attractive period properties and a lovely little church. The village is unusual in that it actually has four entries in the Domesday book. Welford on Avon is a neighbouring village boasting three popular inns and the opportunity to play golf or enjoy the river.

Using Binton as a base, guests can enjoy the delights of Shakespeare’s country, with Stratford-upon-Avon and the surrounding villages on the doorstep. The surrounding counties of Gloucestershire, Oxfordshire and Worcestershire offer many attractions, including both indoor and outdoor activities. The world famous Cotswolds can be reached within an easy 15-minute drive and offers guests the opportunity to explore the beautiful natural landscape following one of the many public footpaths and bridle paths that criss-cross the countryside. Chipping Campden, Broadway, Moreton-in-Marsh, Stow-on-the-Wold and Bourton-on-the-Water are all perfect for a day out and provide the chance to enjoy some local produce in one of the many country inns, pubs and restaurants.
